Superman

Superman is a fictional comic book character. You may have also heard about superman 2. The series of superman films also have names like superman 3. This character of superman is very popular among English comics readers and generally considered as cultural icon. It is published under publication of DC comics. Superman character got immense popularity in the very first year of its publication which was 1938. Superman 1 was a stand alone action comic in shelves in the year 1939. The super-hero character of superman 4 brought an innovation in the comics world after the introduction of superman 1 series. Superman 1 proved to be groundbreaking as it was out of leak to present a comics character as an action hero and same is true with superman 4.

After the comics got huge popularity and success a film named Superman was released in 1978. This film was directed by Richard Donnar. In 1980 sequel of the film Superman was made up which was named as Superman 2. Super-hero film Superman 2 proved to be quite controversial regarding taking the credit of the director of the film. Superman 2 is the only film which is said to be directed by two directors Richard Donnar and Richard Lester. Superman 3 was a film which was subsequently released in 1983 which was project of Richard Lester. Superman 3 film was less successful than other two earlier films of Superman film series both financially and critically. Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder and Gene Hackman were the common characters in the all the three films of the series of Superman. Annet O Toole, Annie Ross, Pamela Stephenson etc. were the other stars who joined the film Superman 3 apart from other earlier stars of the film.

Superman 4 was last film in the series of super hero films. It was again starred by Christopher Reeve as the man of steel. The film was named as Superman 4: The Quest for Peace. Superman 4 was neither critical nor a box office hit. After this movie was released Superman series got a pause which was again re-introduced when Superman Returns released in 2006. So watch out all series films like superman 2 and other latest releases superman 3 etc.
